President Joe Biden is pardoning 1000’s of people that have been convicted of use and easy possession of marijuana on federal lands and within the District of Columbia and granting clemency to 11 individuals serving what the White Home known as “disproportionately lengthy” sentences for nonviolent drug offenses, Zeke Miller reports for the Associated Press. The pardon builds on his categorical pardon issued simply earlier than the 2022 midterm elections that made 1000’s convicted of easy possession on federal lands eligible for pardons.
