Thailand police arrest four suspects in connection with mass shooting

Thai police arrested 4 suspects Thursday in reference to a taking pictures in a Bangkok mall that killed two and injured 5. The suspects are accused of illegally modifying weapons and promoting them to a 14-year-old boy who then opened fire at a shopping mall referred to as Siam Paragon Mall Tuesday.

Yala Police arrested two of the suspects in Yala Province, seizing 209 rounds of clean gun bullets, 33 items of lower metal pipe and a pair of Krungthai checking account books. A 3rd suspect was arrested later with police seizing two clean weapons. The fourth was arrested at his Bangkok dwelling, which additionally served as a workshop for modifying weapons. The person was charged with possession and manufacturing of unlawful firearms.

Based on the Inside Minster of Thailand Anutin Charnvirakul, the federal government is taking motion to enhance gun management, together with implementing short-term measures, akin to suspending the issuance of permits for importing and buying and selling firearms.
