Nigeria government accused of detaining girls who escaped Boko Haram

Ladies and younger girls confronted illegal army detention after escaping the Islamic Jihadist Group Boko Haram within the northeast of Nigeria, human rights group Amnesty Worldwide reported Monday.

The report, titled “Help us build our lives”, is predicated on 126 interviews with women and younger girls who skilled and suffered by means of abuses dedicated by Boko Haram and the Nigerian authorities. Amnesty accused the Nigerian authorities of not adequately supporting the ladies and women who at the moment are attempting to rebuild their lives.

Boko Haram kidnapped many youngsters through the years as they attacked the civilian inhabitants in northeast Nigeria. Those that had been deemed non-believers by the jihadist group had been killed, and plenty of the kidnapped women had been forcibly married.

The ladies and women who escaped Boko Haram would usually find yourself detained by the Nigerian army whereas the others had been left in displacement camps to fend for themselves.
