Nepal cracks down on alleged human smuggling ring tied to Russian army recruitment

In response to the current deaths of six Nepali residents serving within the Russian military, Nepali authorities have apprehended 12 people suspected of involvement in an unlawful operation coercing unemployed youths to hitch the Russian navy marketing campaign in Ukraine on Wednesday.

The detainees are accused of extorting important quantities—as much as $9000—from victims, falsely promising journey visas.
