Kremlin Retaliates Against ICC with Criminal Case Against Prosecutor and Judges

The Kremlin has initiated a prison case towards prosecutor Karim Ahmad Khan and a number of other judges from the Worldwide Felony Courtroom (ICC) in what seems to be a retaliatory transfer after the court docket issued an arrest warrant towards President Vladimir Putin, Leila Sackur reports for NBC News. The Russian Investigative Committee accused Khan and the judges of creating “illegal selections” by arresting Putin and Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, his commissioner for youngsters’s rights.

The ICC had issued arrest warrants for Putin and Lvova-Belova in March, alleging their involvement within the illegal abduction and deportation of youngsters from Ukraine to Russia. The transfer by the Kremlin is seen as an try to problem the jurisdiction of the ICC , a global court docket not acknowledged by america.
