Kenya police oversight body launches investigation into fatal police shootings of tax protesters

The Kenya Human Rights Fee introduced Wednesday that police authorities killed at least three protesters on Wednesday and one other seven on Tuesday. The lethal protests come solely per week after police shot and killed two stone-throwing protesters from the nationwide taxation protests. On account of the violence, Kenya’s Unbiased Police Oversight Authority (IPOA) announced Thursday that they’d launched an investigation into taking pictures incidents in seven cities throughout the nation.

The demonstrations, amongst many others organized by opposition Azimio chief Raila Odinga and his supporters, are geared toward voicing opposition to the current tax measures launched within the new finance bill, which acquired presidential assent in late June.
