Kentucky resident sentenced to twenty months imprisonment for Jan. 6 police officer assault

The US District Courtroom for the District of Columbia sentenced Kentucky resident Luke Hoffman to twenty months imprisonment Friday for assaulting law enforcement officials throughout the January 6 Capitol Riot.

Hoffman’s sentence comes round 5 months after he pled responsible to violating 18 U.S.C. § 111(a), a Class D felony carrying a most sentence of eight years imprisonment, three years supervised release, and a fine of $250,000 or twice the higher of assaulter’s pecuniary acquire or the sufferer’s pecuniary loss.
