Israel officials arrest Jordan lawmaker for alleged weapons smuggling

Israeli officers Sunday arrested Jordanian parliament member Imad al-Adwan for allegedly smuggling over 200 weapons and an estimated six million {dollars} price of gold into the West Financial institution. Jordanian Minister of Overseas Affairs Sinan al-Majali issued an announcement saying that “the ministry and all related businesses within the kingdom are working to determine the main points of this concern and deal with it as rapidly as attainable.”

Israel Overseas Minister Eli Cohen told Israeli information outlet Ynet that authorities might want to conduct a critical investigation into the matter. He added that though al-Adwan must be delivered to justice, Israel doesn’t blame the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for al-Adwan’s actions.
