Ireland Data Protection Commission fines Meta €91M over improper password storage

The Irish Knowledge Safety Fee (DPC) announced on Friday that it’s fining Meta Platforms Eire Restricted (MPIL) 91 million euros over improper password storage. The choice by Commissioners Des Hogan and Dale Sunderland follows an inquiry into MPIL initiated in 2019.
