Palestinian activist Khader Adnan, who has been affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PJI) group, Tuesday died in an Israeli jail following a starvation strike that lasted 86 days. In response to his dying, armed supporters firedrockets from Gaza in the direction of southern Israel.
Adnan, who had been incessantly imprisoned over the past 20 years, had been in an Israeli jail awaiting trial on prices of supporting terrorism, affiliation with a terrorist group and incitement, when he died. Whereas imprisoned, Adnan went on a three-month starvation strike motivated by his opposition to his detention.
