George Santos in Plea Talks with Prosecutors Over Corruption Charges

US prosecutors mentioned they’re now engaged in plea negotiations with the previous US consultant George Santos to resolve legal corruption prices forward of trial, Luc Cohen reports for Reuters. Santos has pleaded not responsible to prices of laundering marketing campaign funds to pay for his private bills, charging donors’ bank cards with out their consent, and receiving unemployment advantages whereas he was employed, amongst different accusations. Santos, a Republican, embellished key facets of his biography and resume, together with falsely claiming Jewish heritage and telling voters he attended New York College and labored at Goldman Sachs.
