Barristers in Ireland are set to strike over Criminal Legal Aid fees

Their latest Budget 2024 report recorded that two-thirds of felony barristers depart follow after simply six years on the Prison Bar attributable to pay and circumstances. They highlighted the influence that it will have on the occupation and entry to justice, arguing, “There’s a lack of helpful expertise and expertise that can’t be simply replicated or changed – it is a loss to each the person, the State and the administration of justice.”
