Baltimore County’s First Black Police Chief Outlines Vision for Community-Oriented Policing

Baltimore County’s first Black Police Chief, Robert McCullough, mentioned his plans for his new position and the challenges he expects the division to face in a dialog with reporters at WJZ Information, Stephon Dingle reports for CBS Baltimore. He goals for the police division to be proactive and community-oriented, and to make the most of know-how to extend security.

McCullough began as a cadet 35 years in the past, working his method as much as the highest job within the Baltimore County Police Division.

“I’m standing on the shoulders of many individuals who got here earlier than me who’ve helped me and confirmed me the way in which, many who’re not with us – they poured into me and so they helped me,” Chief McCullough mentioned.
